Hifana’s show at Kokugikan went off last Friday. Kokugikan is usually host to all of Japan’s greatest sumo matches, and this was a first for it to be used as a music venue. It was probably the biggest place we’ve ever seen Hifana perform at, with over 4000 people in attendance. Their show got a great reaction, and this was a really special place to perform. In some of these photos you can see the amazing stage setup. The lanterns hung above and around the crowd reacted to the sound as if each one was a pixel in a giant screen. Also they served as a giant billboard, flashing the scrolling names of the performing artists. This coming Saturday promises to be a big one too, with Hifana opening for Daft Punk’s Alive tour.
