W+K Tokyo

SHIFT picked up Merce Death it’s Shingo’s solo band to cover page.

Also it has so long interview. I hope you like it.

Went by the 1LOVE Store in Harajuku to make some custom AF1s and Dunks. They’ve got exclusive materials and colors you can’t get anywhere else. You know the drill. Mai designed some slick star/crocodile/patent white-on-whites.

The store will be closing soon, after being open for a year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the AF1. W+K Tokyo worked with Nike Japan to realize the store, including the concept, identity, architect selection, creating 4 free papers and planning the Bobbito event in Ueno. We’ll do another post when our shiny kicks get here in a couple weeks.

As if he has his own personal Star Trek transporter, John Jay is back spending the week in Tokyo. Most of the time he’s hanging out with us, imparting valuable wisdom and encouragement to our brains, but miraculously somehow he is finding time to produce some great writing every night for The New York Times on what’s happening in Tokyo. We’re suspicious that he has cloned himself. Supposedly he was sighted in Shanghai yesterday.
