W+K Tokyo

Amy and Sandi are Mt. Fuji bound

W+K has been gearing up for the Nike’s Human Race, a global 10K running event that will happen on August 31. Millions of people are expected to run in the 26 cities around the world, including 580 W+K employees from our 7 offices.

As an incentive to enter this running extravaganza, Dan Wieden selected a pair of lucky participants as winners of the W+K Human Race Challenge “grand prize,” an all-expenses paid trip to the Human Race city of their choice.

Today we found out that lucky winners Amy and Sandi (shown above) selected Japan’s Mt. Fuji as their running location of choice, so Tokyo will be hosting these ladies at our local 10K. Nice pick ladies — see you soon!

Andrew joined Blues

Roppongi Blues had a game on last Saturday morning. We won 11 vs 8.
It was the first game for Andrew Miller who joined WK Tokyo last week! Welcome to Blues.
Please come and see Andrew’s speed ball. He is a great pitcher.

"The Originals" project by New York Times, "T" Style Magazine

Jennifer Pastore, the young and very talented photo editor for T: The New York Times Style Magazine, visited Tokyo recently to work on a very fascinating project called “The Originals.” The ongoing series features people with original personal style and has been running for the past four years. For this particular trip, their focus was on Tokyo where they shot a series of eight portraits and three videos, including the celebrated contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, interviewed by our own John Jay. Thanks Jennifer, please come visit Tokyo again soon.
