With 10 days left before our Oykot exhibition at GGG opens, we are going to do a little countdown as a means to reminds us how little time we have left, but also as an opportunity to share with people some of the work in progress that goes into making this exhibition.
One of the many things we are trying to finish before Dec 2nd opening is what we are calling the OYKOT WALL. Originally it was suppose to be composed of 3 monitors streaming live footage from our office in Roppongi inside the GGG exhibition but we decided to go a very different route and that is to make a mural that talks about our Oykot philosophy.
A few days ago three brave souls (Shuhei, Gino, and Marek) tried to redesign the mural and finish it before 9am insertion, with on going discussions about whether the mural should be redrawn by hand at full size at GGG using white charcoal, or printing it full size if we can make the 9am insertion. Long story short, we’re still working on it. Here are a few photos from that long long night.
Gino testing how the letters will look projected on his head. He’s been thinking about a tattoo. Looks good to us. Let us know what you all think.
