Bill Davenport and Kirk Iverson (pictured below with John Jay) stopped by the Tokyo office on their world tour to promote W+K Radio.
In the first week on air, W+K Radio had 2,000 listeners from 30 countries. Set up as a way to inspire creativity and connect our 7 offices around the world, the experiment appears to be off to a great start. It turns out some of the most interstesting content has come from all corners of the agency, from programs featuring personal playlists to discussions about the recent Obama inauguration.
The Tokyo office has already hosted a session on W+K Tokyo LAB, and the goal is for the station to eventually become the first truly global radio station with contributions coming from every office. Bill & Kirk’s presentation inspired lots of ideas, so tune in soon for more Tokyo-based content.
