Things you can do with Google グーグルで、できること。

Last week we launched our latest work for Google with an OOH campaign that took over Ikebukuro Station. The “Google de dekirukoto” (“Things you can do with google”) campaign showcases the many ways that Google can be a useful tool in people’s everyday lives.

The creative idea developed by Shunsuke Iwai and Gino Woo uses a friendly illustration style to communicate useful search tips. The campaign also includes online, tutorial videos that give more tips on how to use Google, and a mobile site. You can find more tips at google.jp/dekiru.

W+K Tokyo Lab presents Maledict Car by Jemapur

This is a little bit old news, but it showed up on KanYe West’s blog of all places, so now we knew it was time to post it here! This music video is our first for Jemapur, one of Tokyo Lab’s new artists who will be releasing his album with us later this year. The video was directed by Kosai Sekine for the Lab, and is available exclusively in our Tokyo.Ten DVD+Book that was released about a month ago. The book can be purchased here on Amazon Japan, as well as in other fine stores within Japan such as Tower Records and Aoyama Book Center.

Welcome to W+K Tokyo's new website

After months of collecting assets, writing case studies, translating, programming, bug checking and re-programming, www.wktokyo.jp launched today. Beyond covering the usual stuff – who we are, where we are, what we do – the site also features our people and their input on what’s cool and interesting in our city.

With the exception of a lot of programming help from our friend CJ, the site was created completely in house thanks to Eric, Mark, Gino and Shane. The site is bilingual so both Japanese and English speakers can now learn more about what we’re up to in Roppongi.

Have a peek, and let us know what you think.

Yuko on account service

While the press often covers our creative work and creatives, this time around account service is in the limelight. Ad magazine Koukoku Eigyouryoku interviewed account managers from several agencies in Japan, and W+K Tokyo’s Yuko Matsunaga is among those featured. Yuko talks about her role at W+K, working with Google, and her approach to being an account person, which includes “having an entrepreneurial spirit.” Nice article Yuko!

Thank you Ohba san from Seibundo Shinkosha publishing for great work!
