昨年実施した「Googleで、できること。」の山手線のADトレイン及び連動イベントなどの企画が交通広告グランプリの企画部門最優秀賞に選ばれました。
これまでオンライン広告を主としてきたGoogleでオフラインの広告の賞を頂くというのは、大変意義があることだと感じました。

賞をとることは広告活動の目標ではありませんが、こうやってみんなでお祝いができる機会があると、なんだかとってもハッピーになりますね。
今年は過去最多となる1,450点の応募があったそうです。TIAAもそうでしたが、アワードでどの媒体が元気があるか肌で感じることができます。

Yuri Suzuki, a product design and electronic music artist based in London stopped by our office and gave us a presentation of his work. John Jay had met him at the CRAFT PUNK exhibition in Milan and this time we enjoyed seeing a lot of his creative work. It’s hard to describe his work in one word but he is a talented artist who does an interesting collaboration of product design X music X toy X installation added with a great sense of humor! Thanks for coming Yuri and we look forward to your upcoming project!
プロダクトデザインと音楽を中心に活躍するロンドン在住アーティスト、スズキユウリさんがワイデンに遊びに来てくれました。ジョン・ジェイがミラノのCRAFT PUNK展でユウリさんの作品を見たのをきっかけに、今回はワイデンで他の作品もたっぷり見せていただきました。彼の作品はとても幅広く想像を遥かに超えていて一言では表すのが難しいですが、プロダクトX音楽XおもちゃXインスタレーションをユーモアと遊び心のある作品で楽しませてくれるアーティストです。 今日はありがとうございました！これからも面白い作品を楽しみにしてます！
７月１３日により「Google 未来を選ぼう ２００９」が立ち上がりました。
On July 13, Google launched a general election portal:Google Japan Election Portal 2009.
In our related campaign, we asked citizens to post questions to potential candidates for the 2009 House of Representatives Election on Google Moderator. People could then vote for the best so that they are selected in a democratic way.
To motivate people to post questions, we filmed 7 influencers and asked them what they would like to ask the candidates.
We also ran a full page ad on July 15 in national press to announce the portal and campaign. 15日の朝刊には15段広告も掲出され、より幅広い方の参加を呼びかけています。
７月２８日に質問がしめきられましたが、4,724件の質問が投稿され、266,416件の質問への投票がありました。
Entries for questions were closed on July 28. There were 266,416 votes, and 4,724 questions posted.
投稿された質問から５つの質問が選ばれ、今度は候補予定者の方に回答ビデオをYouTube上の日本の政治チャンネルに投稿してもらいます。

本日から3日間、Tokyo Art Book Fair ZINE’S MATE 2009が、表参道GYREで開催されています。詳しくはこちら。
一般公開に先立って昨夜行われた関係者向けプレビューでは、なんと300名を越える来場者で大賑わい！
主催者江口さん＆オリバーは、今回のフェアの醍醐味について、「本作りをしている出展者と、ブック愛好家同志が直接触れ合える希少な機会です。本を見るだけでなくぜひコミュニケーションも楽しんでもらえたら。」と挨拶。
このプロジェクト、書籍の出版や卸、小売業の方のほか、ギャラリーやアーティスト、ボランティアなど、本を愛してやまないいろんな方の良心が連なって実現しました。一般の来場者を迎えてさらなるエネルギーが渦巻く会場を目の当たりにして、企画協力で参加してきたW+Kも感無量です！
ちなみに、この週末、地下ではなんと有機野菜を生産者の方が買えるfarmer’s marketも開催中。本もお野菜も、産直のフレッシュなものを心と体にとりいれて、皆さんもどうぞよい週末を。
