Tiempo, Nike Japan’s top selling football spike, underwent a full model change in late 2007.
The new but elegantly classic Tiempo promised even more touch, feel and control to the footballer. The creative chose to cut through the clutter in football-specific media in the form of a postcard insert rather than a typical print ad. Each postcard was a love letter written from a football to a Tiempo wearing Nike footballer. The balls humorously and passionately confessed the unforgettable, mesmerizing touch of the new Tiempo spike in its respective tongue. The cards became popular collectibles among young football players.
